Cleaning your My Gemme luxury piece;

We advise cleaning your jewelry with a soft cloth and store them in the accompanying jewelry box, after wearing to ensure durability. Special care must be taken for pieces that include pearls, emerald, sapphire, selenite and opals.

Due to the vulnerability of natural gemstones, it’s advised to not use lotions, perfumes or expose the jewellery to water or long term bright sunshine.

With normal use, My Gemme jewelry will last a lifetime! However, for unexpected cases we offer a repair service. Contact us at hello@mygemme.com for more information and we’ll be more than happy to assist you!

Care for pearls:

Pearls are organic gemstones that are vulnerable to acid, alkaline and extremes of humidity. To preserve your pearls' radiance, avoid letting them come into contact with detergents, cosmetics, hair spray or perfume. Always put on your jewelry as a final touch, after applying make-up and styling hair.
The pearl's lustre can also be harmed by sweat. To prevent this, before storing your pearls to the jewelry box, wipe them gently with a soft cloth.

Pearls are exceptionally cohesive and shock-resistant, but may be scratched by contact with sharp objects or other gemstones (therefore we place a knot between each sapphire and pearl very carefully to ensure the pearls aren't scratched). Therefore store your pearls apart from other jewelry. When carrying jewelry, use our jewelry pouch.
Leaving pearl jewelry in the jewelry box for long periods may cause pearls to dehydrate, so wear them frequently! There is a saying that “pearls want to be worn,” and it is definately true!

Repairs:

 Repairs are part of our services and can be done by contacting us first, so we can start the acceptation process for the repairs. There can be no rights obtained for the reparation time and costs. Reparation time, costs and process will be discussed on forehand before accepting the repair. Costs related to the repair of our jewels, such as shipment and material costs are charged to the customer. All costs are on forehand discussed with the customer.
